MQA and FL HealthSource are the front door for Florida health-professional licensing generally, so that is where an employer lands — but the board directs NURSE license verification, RN and LPN, to Nursys. The MQA search will show you a Florida practitioner record; it is not the route the board points employers at for nurses. Official certifications are ordered separately and are a paid service.

Florida has recognized compact privilege since January 19, 2018; Kansas since July 1, 2019 — a gap of about 1 year. That is worth knowing because the newer member is where employers, staffing agencies and HR systems are most likely to still be working from an out-of-date understanding of what a multistate license covers.
