Source review and board-link refresh
- Re-verified all jurisdiction statuses against the NLC member-states listing. No status changes since the initial review.
- Updated official board-of-nursing links for Connecticut, Pennsylvania, and Washington after the boards moved or renamed their pages.
- Washington’s regulator is now the Washington State Board of Nursing (formerly the Nursing Care Quality Assurance Commission); link updated.
- Replaced placeholder links for Guam and the U.S. Virgin Islands with their current board pages.
Initial compact-status review
- Published source-backed status for all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and five territories.
- Recorded 43 jurisdictions in the Nurse Licensure Compact: 40 fully implemented, Guam in partial implementation, and Massachusetts and the U.S. Virgin Islands enacted but awaiting implementation.
- Noted Connecticut’s implementation on October 1, 2025 and Pennsylvania’s on July 7, 2025.
- Confirmed California, New York, Illinois, Michigan, Oregon, Nevada, Hawaii, Minnesota, and Alaska as non-compact, along with the District of Columbia.
