Can I use an ASLP compact privilege in every member state?

No. A privilege is issued by, and accepted in, only the states that have onboarded — currently 4. Membership and operation are separate steps, and most members are still between them. Practicing in a member state that has not onboarded still requires that state's ordinary license.

Does the ASLP Compact cover both audiologists and SLPs?

Yes. The compact covers audiologists and speech-language pathologists, and a privilege is obtained through CompactConnect — the shared data system the ASLP, counseling and occupational therapy compacts all run on — rather than through a state licensing board.

Why do the commission’s own figures not name the states?

The commission publishes its status as counts on a map — 33 enacted but not yet issuing, 4 issuing, 3 with active legislation, 16 with none — without naming which state falls where. The roster here comes from the Council of State Governments’ compact database, which names all 37 members with the year each joined. The two agree: 33 plus 4 is 37, and 37 plus 3 plus 16 accounts for all 56 jurisdictions.
