What Nursys shows
Nursys QuickConfirm reports the license type (single-state or multistate), current status, and expiration for participating boards. It is the fastest way to confirm whether a license carries compact privilege.
Checking with the Oregon State Board of Nursing
For anything Nursys does not show — or to confirm official requirements — go to the Oregon State Board of Nursing. The board is the authority on Oregon licensure; we do not make licensure determinations.
What a Oregon license can and cannot be
Oregon has never issued multistate licenses, so no Oregon license — however recently issued — carries compact privilege. If a Nursys record for Oregon appears to show anything other than single-state, treat it as a reason to call the Oregon State Board of Nursing rather than a reason to rely on it.
Oregon also publishes its own primary-source lookup: Oregon State Board of Nursing primary source verification. Where it and Nursys disagree, the issuing board controls.
What trips people up in Oregon: The most detailed verification in the cohort: alongside license type, number, issue, renewal and expiry dates, it reports whether the license has EVER been disciplined and names the action — reprimand, civil penalty, probation, suspension, revocation, or voluntary surrender. Most state lookups return a yes/no discipline flag, so a clean Oregon record is a stronger statement than a clean record elsewhere.
